Easy DIY Spring Yarn Wall Hanging

This no-weave DIY boho wall hanging with faux flowers resembles the beautiful wreaths on Etsy and Pinterest! It’s a great way to show off a beautiful yarn if you don’t know how (or don’t have time) to weave or macramé. It’s so satisfying to make your own wall hangings! You can either follow my design, or make your own design with your favorite colors or flowers.

I wanted to make a wall hanging/wreath that was especially springy. My reasoning? I love the minimalist/boho wreaths that are all the rage, so I wanted to make a spring wreath following that design. (To be honest, I’m way behind the latest trends. It could be boho minimalist wreath wall hangings are over and everyone knows it but me.) This project only took me about 3-4 afternoons.

    In Real Life #13

Hey and welcome to my blog! In Real Life is a Sunday blog series where I share fun stuff I found this week, links, and random stuff from IRL.

I got new work shoes! You might be able to tell I already made a mess of them by the flour splotches. They take a little breaking in but I’ve gotten so many compliments on them! Also sorry for the weird angle, I was juggling coffee, car keys, and a backpack 😆

    Easy Veggie Flatbread Pizza

Flatbread Veggie Personal Pizzas are an easy meal that works great at the last minute, or when you’re low on ingredients! Using a flaxseed wrap as a thin crust, plus loads of veggies, gives them a healthy anti-inflammatory boost to satisfy your pizza craving without the carbs or the work involved in a cauliflower crust!

It’s easy to double, triple, or quadruple, and works as a great lunch, snack or dinner!

    How To Beat Writer’s Block

Recently I have been facing a bout of writer’s block. REALLY BAD writer’s block. So bad, I hesitate to call it writer’s block. It’s unlike any of the writer’s block I’ve faced since I started writing seriously in 2005.

It’s more like that feeling of scratching your nails on a chalkboard. Only, the chalkboard is blank, and you’re supposed to write an entire novel on it.

WandaVision…the ending was cool! But I’m not the hugest fan of mockumentaries…I miss the laughs. But what I want to know…where are they going to go with it next? They’ve reached present day. Are the fake sitcoms over? Is it going to become a regular superhero drama? I would like that too, I’m just super curious. 😀

    Cherry Crisp Coffee Cake

Cherry Crisp Coffee Cake is like cherry crisp and coffee cake smashed together. An oat streusel tops a moist cake base, with a juicy cherry sauce layer. It’s moist, flavorful, and a good excuse to eat cake for breakfast when it’s not even your birthday.

I dreamt this cake up because of a bottle of tart cherry juice in the fridge. I made a sauce with the juice and some frozen sweet cherries, leaving it extra saucy.

My Favorite COL1972 Pieces Lately :-)

Okay, so I’m a little bit obsessed with COL1972. You all probably know it by now. I interviewed the founders for Crown of Beauty Magazine last month, shared my favorite Christmas outfit inspo which was basically 75% COL1972, and a couple weeks ago I shared my favorite Valentine’s-themed shopping ideas, 75% of which was ALSO from COL1972. But their stuff is JUST TOO PRETTY! And, a great conversation piece since every purchase supports life!

So, I’m sharing some of my favorite items from their latest product drops!

    Bacon Havarti Grilled Cheese

This is the ULTIMATE grilled cheese sandwich. It’s made with bacon, Havarti, muenster, sharp cheddar, and crusty bread for over-the-top cheesy goodness. It’s an easy meal and a good excuse to indulge.

So yesterday was my day off. I love my days off so much. I played some Tomb Raider, worked on an article for The Conservateur, and made these grilled cheese sandwiches.

Grilled cheese is the perfect thing for a day off. (That or a chocolate mug brownie.)

    Happy Valentine’s Day, y’all!

I’m so into watching chick flicks right now. We watched Letters to Juliet last Sunday, and tonight I’m thinking one of the old faves like You Again or While You Were Sleeping.

We watched the 2011 Three Musketeers movie with both Orlando Bloom and Luke Evans, which I find hilarious because they look like the exact same person, and they’ve been in the same movie twice.
